My friend Nicole and I have started selling our door signs and other cute stuff on Etsy! We figured since so many of our friends love the signs and want them, maybe other people will too :) Check out our Etsy site at http://www.etsy.com/shop/laura611
We made our first sale last week, and what are the odds that the lady who bought 2 of our signs would be from Alabama?? Well, she was :) Hopefully she loved her signs and will spread the word about our little business!
In other news....law school is still hard, lol. No changes there. Finals are coming up soon, and I'm freaking out because I am in no way prepared! I guess it helps a little to know that I'm pretty sure nobody else is ready either....but I'm still super stressed! There goes my quick study break....hope everyone had a great Halloween :)

Still Hangin' in There
Well, midterms are over, and somehow I survived....and even managed to get some good feedback from the most difficult, t tests I've ever taken...that don't count! (sorry...soapbox) Anyway, I got somewhere between a low B and a high C on my property midterm, which did count. I'm not thrilled with that score, but I was a few points above the median of the class, which is pretty much where you want to be in law school, so I guess above average will have to do :) By some miracle, I managed to get one of the highest grades in my section on my civil procedure midterm...which is probably my least favorite class, so I was THRILLED with that score. We haven't gotten our scores back for the other two midterms, but I'm pretty sure I did a decent job on them, so I'm not in panic mode over those.
As for my legal research and writing class....let's just say I want to burn the books already! It's definitely one of those classes where you think you're going to work really hard and stay ahead of the game....WRONG!! Everytime I think I've done all of my assignments and I can read ahead or do an assignment early, I get an email telling us about something else that's due...or I've just forgotten something that's due! Currently, I'm working on the final memo for this class. It's a 15 page paper on child custody...GROSS!! Unfortunately, this one paper is 75% of my grade for this class, so it has to be my best...whether I like the subject or not. In fact, I should probably be working on it right now instead of blogging, but everybody needs a break sometime, right?!?!
Finals are 6 weeks away...that's right...I'm 6 weeks away from the tests that will determine whether I get to stay in law school or not. I'm pretty sure I just started school yesterday, so these tests have gotten here way too fast! However, as stressful as this whole law school thing is, I can honestly say that I'm having the time of my life making some of the best friends I could ever ask for, and believe it or not, I actually look forward to getting to school each day. I just wish I looked forward to sitting through class, haha!
Well, I guess that's it for my short blogging break...back to the ole' grind! Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and looking forward to a great holiday season :)
