Summertime is officially in swing....complete with weddings, baby showers, engagements, and the whole nine yards. School is over for a while, and having my life back is GREAT!!! It's amazing how much time I have on my hands when I don't have endless cases to brief, memos/briefs to write, outlines to prepare, blah blah blah blah blah. I started my new job a few weeks ago, and it's going so great. I have already learned so much, and the two lawyers that I work with have really been great about giving me challenging work and letting me try new things. I'm actually going to trial with one of them this week, and I'm so nervous! It's not like I'm representing the client in front of the judge or anything like that...I'll be the girl with the lawyer who gives him his exhibits and documents when he needs them....so there's really no pressure on me, but I can't help but be nervous because this actually counts for something, lol.
A few weeks ago, I went with my law school right hand, aka Effie, to Fairhope for our friend Natalie's wedding. We had a great time just hanging out and keeping eachother awake on the 3 hour ride home :) I didn't get a picture of the bride, but she was absolutely stunning...such a classic beauty.
This past Saturday was one of baby Emmalynn's showers. We had a great time, and she got so many goodies. Something tells me this is going to be one spoiled baby, and I can't wait to meet her and start the spoiling process! The shower I'm helping host for her is in 4 weeks, and I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures of that one. I'm super excited about it. Her Mommy is such a great friend to me, and I feel so honored to get to help welcome this sweet baby into the world :)
