Well, January has come and gone, and February is already here....seems like last week was Christmas. This month promises to be quite the busy one and has been super busy already. First things first....school. My first big draft of my super important, extremely difficult, unbelievably stressful paper is due this Friday. This semester, we have to write an appellate brief....but don't let the name of it fool you. It's everything but brief. In fact, by the time it's all said and done, this "brief" will be a 20-something page document that determines 75% of my LRW grade....fun, huh??

This past weekend was informal recruitment for Alpha Gam....and it went great! I recently took the position of being our chapter's panhellenic advisor, and I love it! The chapter got 3 great new members this weekend, and of course, we're already working on some super cute new member gifts for them :) I posted a few pictures from the weekend....notice the adorable door decorations that my friend Nicole did.....I only helped a tiny bit....she made me do the polka dots, lol.

In other news, I've had several people ask me to make some crafty things for them recently, and I'm trying to find time to squeeze them in with my crazy schedule. I finished a super cute sign last night for a very special little boy, but I forgot to take a picture of it.....I'll post that soon and if I finish the other projects within the next century, I'll post pictures of them too.

Zone Fine Arts is at the end of this month.....I can't believe it's already time to start this competing stuff again! For those of you who may not know what I'm talking about, Fine Arts is a program that our church participates in with other churches from our area, state, and eventually all over the country. Kids basically get the opportunity to showcase a talent that God has given them and get some advice on how to improve their talents. This year's national competition is in Phoenix, Arizona. If all goes as planned, we'll be heading out there the first week of August....but first, our kids have to do well enough to advance to the national level...which means.....practice, practice, practice. My involvement is with our dance team. Last year, our dance team won first place at the state competition and received a superior ranking at nationals. In fact, they were less than a point behind the team that won first place. So, hopefully we'll be able to have a repeat performance this year :)
