Hostess with the Mostess :)

The Sunday before last....like 10 days ago (I'm way behind on my updates, lol), I hosted a shower at church for a very sweet new friend of mine who happens to be marrying my husband's new right hand. I had such a ball getting everything together for Sara's shower and can't wait for her to be here permanently....only a few more weeks! YAY!! Here are a few pictures from the shower.

Some Much Needed Girl Time

Last Saturday, after Mallory's shower...but before the wedding (I know, busy day), some friends and myself went to this super cute painting place in Millbrook called Brush Buddies. Ms. Debbie was so nice and let those of us who aren't speedy painters take all the time we needed to get our masterpiece just right, lol. If you're in the area and looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday or a week night, I would definitely recommend checking her out. Her website is www.brushbuddiesstudio.com. Here are a few pictures from our class!

The Perfect Couple....

Last Saturday, two very special friends of mine from high school got married. Brian and Samantha have been together since our 9th grade year in school and seriously are the epitomy of a perfect couple....outside of me and my hubby, of course :) They compliment each other so well, and it's obvious to everyone around them that they are completely perfect for each other. Tony and I had such a great time getting to see old friends and catching up with everyone. It's so crazy to think that we are actually all grown ups and have real lives of our own. I never thought I would see the day that some people I grew up with would actually become mature adults, haha! We even managed to snag a class picture of everyone from our class that came to the wedding! Congratulations to Brian and Samantha! Here are some pics from their beautiful reception.

Busy Weekend!

This past weekend was extremely busy for me. It started out Friday night by finishing up all the goodies I made for a bridal shower, which I'm proud to say were finished by 9:00 p.m.! Saturday morning, I got up and headed south to my hometown of Luverne for a brunch for my best friend, Mallory, who is getting married in less than 3 weeks!! After a quick stop at Memaw's, I headed back home to get to Brush Buddies Studio, a super fun painting place! (More details to come about that later). I went with a group of girls and we had so much fun! We will definitely be making another trip there very soon. Saturday night, hubs and I went to the wedding of some very special friends of mine from high school. (again...details later.) It was so great getting to see everyone and catch up on what is going on in everyone's lives. Sunday, I helped host a shower at church for a sweet new friend who is also getting married next month! Everything turned out super cute, and Sara got lots of cute stuff. All in all, I would say the busy weekend was quite a success, but I was absolutely exhausted by the time I got home Sunday night. At some point, I plan on posting more details about each of my fun filled weekend events :)

DWTS Season Finale!!

So, it looks like I made a pretty good prediction in my earlier post about the Dancing With The Stars final! I've never gone 3 for 3 in the final, lol. I've decided that my favorite for this season is Erin from ESPN. However, I'm thinking that the judges' favorite is Nicole, the Pussycat Doll. While I would absolutely LOVE for Erin to show everybody up and pull out the win, I'm predicting that the season winner will be Nicole. Tune in next week to find out if I was right, lol.

CUTE!!!!

In the process of making our super cute front door signs that I posted yesterday, my sweet friend Nicole gave me a sign that she had made for me....and it is now on display in my kitchen, lol. Since it was so adorable, I thought I would share it with the blog world :)I'm pretty sure I have the best friends in the world!!

Front Door Fun!

This past weekend, I got together with two of my friends to make our attempt at creating cute summer time decorations for our front doors. We had seen several things online that we wanted to try, but we just didn't have enough time to make all 50 of them, lol. I have to say that I am quite proud of the way they turned out and think we did a pretty good job for first timers. OH, and it MUST be said that power tools were used in the creation of these adorable front door decorations and that no help was required from anyone of the male species.....yes, we did it all by ourselves! Well, I should probably say Nicole did it all by herself, lol....Holly and I just held the plywood in place :) Here is the finished product!!
