Faith in Difficult Times
As we all know, the world can definitely throw some curve balls our way even when we least expect it. I have always took pride in knowing that I had faith that God would never allow me to go through something that he couldn't get me out of. However, when faced with one of those sticky situations, I have to admit that my faith seemed quite shaky. Thanks to my sweet husband, who constantly reminds me of things like Phillipians 4:19, which says, "But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus," I'm reminded that everything really will be fine and that I can make it through anything. Sorry for the gushing, lol....but sometimes I think it's just necessary :)

Dear John.....
Unfortunately, I don't typically consider myself to be much of a leisure reader. However, this past weekend, I bought Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. I am absolutely in LOVE with this book. Normally, I get bored after reading five pages of anything, much less a novel. I'm definitely hooked on this author, and I can't wait to get another one of his books. I'm thinking The Last Song will be my next one.

Blessed Beyond Measure
It's no secret that my law school endeavor has been causing me some major stress lately simply because of the obvious financial strains that it should cause along with knowing how hard I'm going to have to hit the books and stay focused. However, I've been trying to keep my faith strong and know that God will direct my path and guide me through everything with ease. I received my acceptance letter to Jones School of Law about a month ago, and I knew that they started evaluating for scholarships at the end of January. Needless to say, I've been sitting on pins and needles for the past few weeks. While I had a high undergraduate GPA and a decent LSAT score, I knew that hundreds of other applicants had those same scores, if not better. However, I was holding on to my faith that God would provide some financial help when it comes to the minimum of $30,000.00 per year tuition costs.
Yesterday, I got home and had a letter in the mail from Jones. I figured it was some type of promotional thing or even an early bill asking for money already since I thought it was too early for them to have already made scholarship decisions. Boy, was I wrong! The letter stated that they wanted to offer me an Eagle Scholar Award that would cover 75% of my tuition costs!! Once you do the math, that totals about $25,000.00 per year that I won't have to pay for law school! I immediately started crying while Tony laughed at me for being such an emotional basket case :) After I called my Mom and Memaw, I sat down and realized what a true blessing this was. Out of all the people in the world trying to get scholarships, God chose me to recieve that blessing. I cannot say enough how blessed I continue to be with my educational goals, and I owe all of my success to God alone. Now, more than ever, I cannot wait to get started with school and pursuing my dreams!

The Beginning.....
So, I'm totally new to this whole blogging thing, but it seems to be the newest craze, and I certainly can't get behind with the times :) I'll be honest and say I have no clue what I'm doing, so any advice on the blogging scene would certainly be appreciated. I hope I enjoy this stuff as much as all my blogging friends seem to!
